What’s a girl to do on a rainy day- bake like there’s no tomorrow! (and apparently there might not be with this whole end of the world thing happening tomorrow??)
I saw a recipe for chocolate chip protein balls on @runningwithspoons so want to give Amanda a shout-out for these. I made a few tweaks and added a splash of milk because they were just NOT sticking together! Enjoy and let me know how you like your protein POPPERS!
Choco Chip Protein Poppers
¼ cup almonds
2 TB sunflower seeds
10 dates, pitted
¼ cup oats
2 scoops vanilla protein powder
1 TB coconut flakes
2 TB chocolate chips
1 TB fat-free milk
Chop almonds and sunflower seeds in blender or food processor until consistency is ground up. Add dates and blend again. Add oats, protein powder, and coconut flakes, blend until mixture is crumbly.
Transfer to bowl, add in chocolate chips and milk. Form into 2” balls, should make about 10. POP into mouth pre or post workout!
What’s your favorite pr-workout snack? What do you nosh on afterwards?? Let me know!

Hey girl! Glad you tried these little cookie dough balls – they’re crazy addictive aren’t they?! I go through them like nobody’s business. And they also happen to be my favorite pre-workout snacks 😀 After my workout? I’ll usually just have a protein or fruit smoothie, depending on what kind of workout I did.

I’ve gone through my batch already – and i doubled it! I just bought a blender so I’m definitely going to be trying out the smoothies more often. Have a great Monday!

These are so convenient! I get really sick of eating the same pre-workout food so this is a good way to switch it up. Nice recipe 😀
